BFI Future Film Festival Project
For my final project of my first year at FCOT, I was asked to created a branding and advertisements that promote the BFI Future Film Festival 2024. For this project I decided to create poster advertisements, a brochure and merchandise designs which all feature cohesive illustrations and colour palettes. Underneath this text will be the outcomes I created for this project as well as context to it.
Poster Designs
These are the poster designs I created for this project. These posters feature a main illustration as well as a a title illustration and important information about the event. Each poster has it's own illustration design and the rest of the poster follows the colour palette featured in it's illustration. Everything except for the logo on these posters is illustrated as I wanted every part of the poster to have the same brush texture I used on the main illustrations. All illustrations were made in Procreate and the final design was edited together in Photoshop. I will now showcase processes I went through to make these poster designs.
This is the full process I went through to create the main illustrations for the posters. These were the first things I created when I started this project as I knew I was going to use 3 main illustrations on pretty much every piece of design in this project. This timeline was made in Procreate.

Brochure Designs
This is full brochure design I created for this project, the pages are out of order as this was designed for print and this order is how it would be printed as a double sided booklet. Each spread has one of the three colour palettes featured in the illustrations and every page has the same border design as the posters. This brochure was made in Adobe InDesign and all illustrated aspects were made in Procreate.
Merchandise Design
These some of the mock-ups I made of the merchandise designs for this project. I decided to make each product have three different versions, one for each of the illustrations. I also designed three extra pin badges that featured the title illustration from the posters, as I thought they would also be popular as pin badges. These mock-ups were made in Photoshop. I will now show the planning behind these mock-ups.
These are the canvases I made to plan the merchandise designs featured in this document. These canvases consisted of sketches and annotations to make the plana s clear as possible for me when it comes to making the mock-ups. These were all made in Procreate.
